MailMyCard is operated by DPR Software Labs (OPC) Private Limited, a One Person Company registered in India at Innov8 Mantri Commercio, Tower A, 5th Floor, Devarabisanahalli, Bangalore, Karnataka 560103, India. "We" and "us" mean that company; "you" means the person placing an order.

You write a message and give us a postal address. We render that message in a handwriting style, write it onto a physical card using a pen held by a writing machine, address an envelope, and hand the item to a postal carrier for delivery. We are a service that writes and posts cards on your instruction; we are not the postal carrier and do not control delivery once an item is posted.

Prices are set in US dollars. Shopify-connected accounts add money to their wallet through Shopify billing, with each charge approved in Shopify in US dollars. Other customers add money through our payment partner PayU, in rupees at the rate shown beside the prices and on the wallet page before you pay. That rate is the European Central Bank's reference rate for the day plus a conversion margin of 2%, and is updated each working day. The card price covers one handwritten card and an addressed envelope; tracked delivery is priced separately by destination and shown before confirmation. Each order is paid in full from your wallet when you confirm it. There is no subscription or automatic top-up. A single order may contain up to 100 cards.

A contract is formed when we confirm your order. The destination and the price are checked before you confirm, and we may decline an order before confirming it if we cannot serve the destination, if the address is invalid, or if the content breaches the rules below.

You keep ownership of what you write. You grant us only the permission needed to render, write, print and post it, and to store it so you can reorder.

By placing an order you confirm that:

• you are entitled to send a card to that recipient at that address;
• any handwriting sample or font you upload is yours to use, or you have permission to use it;
• the message does not harass, threaten, defame or impersonate anyone, is not unlawful in India or in the destination country, and does not infringe anyone else's rights.

We do not routinely read messages, but we may refuse or stop an order that we become aware breaches this clause; an order stopped for this reason is not refunded. Repeated breaches may end your account.

If you connect a store, a CRM, a spreadsheet or the API so that cards go to your own customers, this section is the data protection agreement between us for their details.

• You decide whose details we receive and why, and you confirm that you are entitled to share them with us for sending a card. We handle them only on your instructions, which are the connection and the template you set up, and for no purpose of our own.
• We keep them confidential, encrypted in transit and at rest, and open only to the staff who need them to make or post a card.
• We pass them to no one but the providers needed to do the work: the carrier that delivers the card and the hosting providers that store data for us, as our privacy policy lists.
• We help you answer your customers' requests to see or erase their data, in the way and within the times the privacy policy sets out, and we erase recipient details when you disconnect, as it describes.
• If we learn that your customers' details have been accessed or lost without authority, we will tell you without undue delay, with what we know, so that you can meet your own obligations.

The editor preview shows how your card will be laid out. Because a real pen writes on real paper, minor variation in ink flow, stroke weight and placement is inherent to the product and is not a defect.

Delivery times are estimates measured from dispatch, not guarantees. Every card is sent tracked, and the carrier gives no service guarantee. See the shipping & delivery policy.

We do not refund money to your card or bank. You cannot cancel an order once it is placed, and money added to your wallet is not refundable. If we cannot write and post an order within 3 business days of it being placed, we cancel it and return its full cost to your wallet. If a card is not delivered because of a problem on our side of the delivery, we return its full cost to your wallet; if it is not delivered because of the recipient, for example they were unavailable or refused it, there is no refund. Your wallet is a prepaid balance, held in US dollars, that you add money to in advance. Each order is deducted from the wallet in full, including the cards, any add-ons and delivery. The wallet can be used only to pay for MailMyCard's own services: it cannot be used to pay anyone else, transferred to another account or withdrawn as cash, and it earns no interest. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for the consequences of a card arriving late or not at all — for example a missed occasion — beyond replacing the card or refunding it to your wallet as set out in the refund policy.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when they last changed, and the terms in force when you ordered are the ones that apply to that order. Questions to hello@mailmycard.com.
