How your wallet works
Your wallet is a prepaid balance on your MailMyCard account. You add money once, and each card you send is paid from it: the card, anything added to it, and tracked delivery. It works only on MailMyCard.
Last updated 2026-10-01. These terms are offered by DPR Software Labs OPC Pvt Ltd, trading as MailMyCard.
What it pays for
Only MailMyCard's own service: handwritten cards, add-ons such as a video on a QR page, and their delivery. When you send a card, its full cost is shown and then taken from your wallet in one step. If the balance is short, we tell you how much more is needed before anything is sent.
What it is not
- It cannot be used to pay any other shop, business or person.
- It cannot be transferred to another MailMyCard account.
- It cannot be withdrawn as cash or sent to a bank account.
- It earns no interest and is not a deposit or a bank account.
In the Reserve Bank of India's terms it is a closed-system prepaid balance: issued by DPR Software Labs OPC Pvt Ltd for its own service only, with no cash withdrawal and no payments to anyone else.
Adding money
You choose an amount from $10 to $1,000 in whole dollars and pay on PayU's secure payment page. We never see or store your card details. There is no subscription and we never top up automatically: money goes in only when you add it.
Prices are in US dollars. You pay in Indian rupees through PayU at ₹97.75 per US$1: the European Central Bank's rate for 30 Sept 2026 plus 2% for conversion. The exact rupee amount is shown before you pay. Change currency
Your balance
The balance is kept in US dollars, the currency our prices are set in, so a card costs the same whichever day you send it. It does not expire. Every movement, money added, a card paid for, a refund, is listed on your wallet page with its date.
Refunds
Money you add is refundable in full within 14 days, as long as none of it has been spent. It goes back to the card or account you paid with, as the rupee amount you were charged. A card cancelled before it is written goes back into your wallet. The refund and cancellation policy has the details, and the terms set out the wallet as part of your agreement with us.
