A business thank you card should say thank you plainly, name one specific thing the customer did, add one human line, and end with a first name. Keep it to three or four sentences.
The four parts
- Thank them. "Thank you for your order."
- One specific thing. The product, the project, the day they visited.
- One human line. What you hope, or what you noticed.
- A first name. A person signs it, not a team.
Leave out the sales pitch. A discount code turns a thank-you into an ad.
Four notes to copy
- "Thank you for choosing the walnut desk, Priya. I hope it gives you years of good mornings. Sam"
- "Thank you for trusting us with your kitchen. It was a joy to see it come together. Ravi"
- "Thank you for coming in on Tuesday. I hope your knee feels better soon. Dana"
- "Thank you for the referral to your sister. That means a great deal. Lee"

Sending them without the typing
Our cards go out one per order from a connected store (Shopify, WooCommerce, Stripe, a CSV or sheet, or a CRM). A real pen writes the note in black ink on a 6 by 4 inch card, and the customer's name and address go on the envelope. You write the note once. See customer thank-you cards for how it works.
